Elstead Rectory Single Wall Light - Black

One candle, plenty of character

This is the smallest fitting in the Rectory range: a single scrolled arm reaching up from a pointed shield backplate to one candle style lamp holder. The shape is deliberately uneven, more hand forged than machined, which gives it a lot more presence than its size suggests.

Textured black

It is finished in a deep matte black with a rough, hand worked surface texture that catches light unevenly rather than gleaming, and the candle style lamp holder is left in a pale contrast tone so it stands out clearly against the dark iron underneath.

How it works

The single arm curves out and up from the backplate in a gentle S shape before reaching the lamp holder, and the shield shaped backplate itself will also accept GS81 glass shades if you prefer the bulb covered.

Where it works best

Use it singly beside a front door, in a narrow hallway where a wider fitting will not fit, or repeated in a row along a landing or staircase. It reads best against stone, brick, exposed beams or dark panelling rather than a plain modern wall.

Does the Rectory single wall light take a shade? Yes. The shield shaped backplate is designed to also accept GS81 glass shades if you would rather have the bulb covered, though it works just as well left open with a candle style lamp.

What bulb does the Rectory single wall light take? It takes one E14 lamp, and the bulb is not included, so you will need to fit one before use.

Is the Rectory single wall light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E14 bulb. A non dimmable bulb will not dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
