Light aimed with intent

Rather than a shade that simply sits over the bulb, the Quinto's cylinder is set at an angle, so the whole head points down and across instead of straight down. Tilt it towards a page, a keyboard or a chair, and the light follows.

Gloss white with aged brass

The shade, stem and disc base are finished in a bright gloss white, picked out with aged brass at the tilting joint and in a slim ring where the stem meets the base. It is a crisp, fresh combination that suits a painted desk or a white bedside table just as easily as a darker room where you want one light coloured piece to stand out.

How it works

The shade pivots on a single brass joint so you can angle it up or down to suit the task, and an inline switch on the cable means you can turn it off without leaning across to the shade. The disc base is broad enough to sit steady without tipping if the cable gets caught.

Where it works best

Good on a desk beside a keyboard, on a bedside table angled toward a pillow, or on a console table where you want a warm pool of light rather than an even wash across the room. It stands roughly 57.5cm tall with a 31cm reach, small enough to leave room for books or a clock alongside it.
