The Quinto's shade sits at a sharp diagonal angle rather than pointing straight down, more like a torch than a traditional lamp, and it throws light exactly where you angle it. It is a modern, almost architectural take on the classic task lamp.

Dark grey and polished nickel

The shade, stem and weighted round base are finished in a matte dark grey, with polished nickel used sparingly at the joint and the base ring. That mix of a flat, chalky grey against a bright metal accent gives it more presence than an all one colour lamp, without shouting for attention.

How it works

A single knuckle joint where the shade meets the stem lets you tilt the angle to suit, and the lamp is supplied with an inline switch on the cable so you can turn it on without reaching up to the shade itself. The round weighted base keeps it steady on a desk or shelf.

Where it works best

It suits close tasks: reading, writing, working at a laptop, or as a bedside lamp where you want light angled onto a book rather than filling the whole room. At around 57.5cm tall with a 31cm reach, it sits comfortably on most desks and side tables without dominating them.
