One fitting, two ways to hang it

Provence's cone shade hangs from a jointed brass arm that bends at two points, so the same fitting can drop straight down as a pendant or extend out at an angle from a wall bracket. It's a single design built to do both jobs, rather than a pendant with a wall light bolted on as an afterthought.

The aged brass finish

Aged brass gives the arm, the joints and the cone shade a warm, softly antiqued gold tone rather than a bright polished shine, and the same brass lines the inside of the shade, warming the light it throws downward.

How It Works

As a pendant, the jointed rod is set at installation to whatever drop suits your ceiling, adjustable from around 53.5cm down to 123.5cm, and can hang straight or be angled out to one side. Fitted to the wall bracket instead, the same arm swings out to reach roughly 76cm from the wall. Either way it takes a single E27 bulb, an LED, which isn't included, and is wired in as a hardwired fitting rather than a plug in lamp.

Where It Works Best

Hung as a pendant, it earns its keep over a kitchen island or a dining table, throwing a single angled pool of light rather than an even wash. Mounted to the wall instead, it works well beside a desk or reading chair in a home office, where you can angle the shade exactly where you need it. The adjustable drop also helps in rooms with a taller or shorter ceiling than standard.

Can Provence be fitted as a wall light instead of a pendant? Yes. It ships with fittings for both a ceiling rose and a wall bracket, and the same jointed brass arm and cone shade work either way.

How far does the pendant drop adjust? The jointed rod is set at installation anywhere from about 53.5cm to 123.5cm, so it can sit close to a low ceiling or reach further down over a table.

Does it come with a bulb? No. It takes a single E27 LED bulb, which isn't included.

Is the Provence light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E27 bulb. A non-dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
