The Provence swing arm brings a technical, workshop character to desk lighting, with two pivoting arms and a conical shade that make it look built for study rather than styling. In old bronze it reads as a serious tool for a desk, not a soft decorative table lamp.

Old bronze finish

The old bronze finish is a deep, near black bronze rather than a flat matte black, catching a faint warm sheen along the shade rim and arm joints as the light moves across the metal. It gives the lamp a worked, slightly aged look that suits its mechanical design.

How It Works

Two pivoting arms and a tilting conical shade let you swing the light directly over a page, keyboard or piece of work, then fold it out of the way when it isn't needed. A single E27 lamp holder takes an LED bulb, not supplied, and because the lamp has no built in dimmer, fit a dimmable bulb if you want to control brightness from a compatible dimmer switch.

It's suited to a desk in a study, home office or workspace corner, especially set against darker wood, leather or metal, where the old bronze finish and visible joints feel like part of the furniture rather than an accessory. The weighted circular base keeps it stable on a desktop without needing to be fixed down.

Does the Provence table lamp have a dimmer built in? No. It has no dimmer switch of its own, so fit a dimmable E27 LED bulb if you want to dim it from a compatible dimmer circuit.

What bulb does the Provence lamp take? A single E27 bulb, not included. We'd recommend an LED bulb for lower running heat given how close the shade sits to the bulb.

Can the arm and shade be repositioned? Yes. Both arm joints pivot and the shade tilts independently, so you can angle the light directly over a desk task and swing it away when it's not in use.

Is the Provence lamp freestanding? Yes. It has a weighted circular base rather than a clamp or wall fixing, so it sits freely on a desk or table without needing to be fitted to anything.
