A quieter, darker note

Where the brass and nickel versions of this lamp catch the light, the old bronze finish is built to recede, a deep, almost blackened bronze that only shows its warmth where the light catches an edge or curve of the stem and shade.

Up close there is real depth to the finish, dark chocolate and near black tones with a faint warm undertone rather than a flat matte block colour, so the slender stem and angled cone shade still catch some life under lamp light rather than reading as a single flat silhouette.

How it works

A single E14 bulb sits inside the cone shade, held on two curved arms that angle the light down and outward across a desk or side table. There is no built in dimmer, so fit a dimmable bulb if you want to control the level from a dimmer switch.

Where it works best

Its low key colouring makes it a natural fit for a study or home office, a darker bedroom scheme, or a hallway console, anywhere you want a reading light that does not compete with the furniture or walls around it.
