A pendant that comes down to meet you
The rise and fall mechanism is the clever part of this design: pull the cone shade down to lower it, and a hidden counterweight lets it glide back up and hold at whatever height you choose, no ladder or electrician needed to change it later.
The Aged Brass finish
The shade, ceiling rose and the acorn shaped counterweight are all finished in Aged Brass, a warm, slightly muted gold tone with a satin surface rather than a high shine. The cord runs in a matching twisted gold flex, and every metal edge on the cone shade is neatly rolled rather than left sharp.
How it works
Two cords run from the ceiling rose down to a pulley and the acorn shaped weight, which is what lets the shade travel between roughly 96cm and 180cm below the ceiling. A third cord carries the wiring itself down to the E27 lamp holder. Lower the shade over a table to eat by, then raise it back out of the way afterwards.
Where it works best
Perfect over a dining table or a kitchen island where the right hanging height changes depending on what's happening underneath it, whether that's a formal dinner or clearing away afterwards.

How far does the Provence pendant rise and fall? The shade travels between roughly 96cm and 180cm below the ceiling. Pull it down to lower it, and the hidden counterweight lets it glide back up and hold at whatever height you choose, with no tools needed to readjust it later.
Does the Provence pendant come with a bulb? No. It takes one E27 lamp holder and the bulb isn't supplied, so choose an LED bulb in the base you prefer.
Is the Provence pendant dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E27 bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer switch circuit.
