An articulated lamp with a quiet, tailored look

The Element table lamp moves on two separate arm joints, so the cone shade can be walked up, down or across until it's aimed exactly where you're reading, working or getting dressed. It's a proper task lamp shape rather than a decorative one that happens to also give light.

Matte dark grey, satin aged brass

The arms, shade and base are painted in a smooth matte dark grey, while the joints and collar are finished in a warmer, slightly antiqued brass rather than a bright polished one. Together they give the lamp a more muted, tonal look than its brighter siblings in the range.

How it works

One E27 LED bulb sits inside the shade, wired to Class I electrics. Fit a dimmable bulb if you want to dim it; a standard bulb will simply switch on and off as normal.

Where it works best

At 52.3cm tall with a 21cm wide shade, it's a good scale for a bedside table, as shown, or a console or side table where you want reading light without a wide shade taking up space. The dark grey body reads calmer than black in a softly lit bedroom, and its small footprint suits a desk or console just as well.

Does the arm on the Element lamp actually move? Yes. It's built on two separate arm joints, so you can walk the shade up, down or across until the light is pointed exactly where you need it, then leave it set in place.

Is a bulb included? No. It takes one E27 LED bulb, which isn't supplied, so you can choose whichever brightness and colour temperature suit the room.

Can I dim this lamp? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E27 bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb will only switch fully on or off.
