Elstead Plein Single Table Lamp - Dark Brown & Polished Gold

A crisp, architectural lamp for a side table

The Plein table lamp swaps the traditional turned base for something cleaner and more geometric: a slim Polished Gold stem rising from a Dark Brown square foot, finished with an open frame detail at the base.

It is topped with a square shade in cream polycotton, lined inside with metallic gold, so when it is switched on the light takes on a warm, slightly amber glow rather than the flatter white you would get from a plain lining.

How it works

A single bulb sits inside the shade, and the metallic gold lining reflects and warms the light rather than just diffusing it, which is where most of this lamp's character comes from once it is lit. It comes with an inline switch on the cable for easy switching on and off.

Where it works best

The square lines and metallic finish suit a more contemporary living room or bedroom, particularly alongside other brass or gold accents. It works well as a single statement lamp on a console or side table where its shape can be seen clearly.

It may need a little simple assembly on arrival, just to make sure it reaches you in perfect condition rather than fully built.
