Polished chrome turns this picture light into a bright, mirror finished strip rather than a warm brass or bronze glow, which suits contemporary frames, black and white photography, or a room already built around silver and glass.

The finish

The shade and arm are steel, plated and buffed to a full polished chrome shine, so the whole fitting reads as a clean, reflective line along the wall even before either bulb is switched on. It's the coolest toned option in this design, sitting apart from the warmer brass and bronze versions in the same picture light range.

How It Works

A curved, hinged arm connects a square wall plate to the tubular shade, and a thumbscrew at the joint locks the shade at whatever angle throws light down onto the picture rather than across it. Two E14 LED lamp holders sit inside the shade; bulbs aren't included, so fit your own pair to get it working.

Where It Works Best

At 36cm long, the shade is generous enough to sit centrally above a large framed print or a mirror, in a hallway, living room, dining room or office. Fit two either side of a chimney breast to light a pair of pictures symmetrically, or run several along a gallery wall.

Do I need to buy bulbs separately? Yes. This picture light takes two E14 LED bulbs, and neither is included, so you'll need to fit your own before switching it on.

Can I angle the shade to aim the light exactly where I want it? Yes. The arm is hinged and held with a thumbscrew, so you can tilt the shade up or down until the light falls cleanly on the picture rather than across it.

Is this picture light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. Standard, non dimmable bulbs won't respond to a dimmer switch even on a dimmable circuit.
