A cooler way to light a picture
Where brass and bronze warm a wall, polished chrome does the opposite: a bright, cool, mirror finish that suits contemporary frames, black and white photography, or a room already furnished in silver and glass rather than gold.
How it angles
The shade sits on a hinged, curved arm fixed to a square wall plate, with a thumbscrew that holds the two lamp holders at whatever angle throws light cleanly down the picture rather than across it.
Where it works best
Above a large mirror in a hallway, over a run of monochrome prints in an office, or either side of a fireplace where a pair lights two pictures symmetrically.
