A slim line of light for artwork
This is a picture light in the traditional sense, a long slender bar mounted above a frame on an adjustable gooseneck arm and angled down to wash the artwork below rather than the wall around it. At 36cm across, the large size in this range suits bigger canvases, wide mirrors or a run of smaller frames hung close together.
A flat black finish
The steel body is finished in a flat, understated black that reads as a quiet line above a frame rather than a fixture in its own right. The square wall plate carries a subtle pressed diamond texture, and a knurled knob on the arm lets you set the angle by hand and lock it in place once you're happy.
How it works
Two E14 lamp holders run along the length of the bar, spreading light evenly across the width of a frame instead of leaving a hot spot in the middle. The fitting takes E14 LED bulbs, which aren't supplied, so you can choose exactly how warm or bright the light falls on the artwork. It's a Class I fitting wired directly into the mains, so it needs an earth connection and installation by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
Above a large painting in a living room or hallway, over a fireplace, or along a run of frames in an office or dining room where several pieces are grouped together. Because the arm tilts, it also earns its keep over mirrors or shelving where a downlight would just create glare.

Questions People Ask
Are bulbs included with this picture light? No. It takes two E14 bulbs, so you can choose your own brightness and colour temperature. We'd recommend an LED bulb for the best results over artwork.
Can I adjust the angle of the light? Yes. The gooseneck arm tilts on a knurled knob, so you can angle the beam down onto the frame and lock it in place once you're happy with it.
Is this picture light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. A non dimmable bulb won't respond to a dimmer switch even on a dimmer circuit.
Do I need an electrician to install this light? Yes. It's a Class I fitting wired directly into the mains rather than plugged in, so we always recommend a qualified electrician installs it.
