Philadelphia takes its cues from old American street lighting: a tall fluted post in an aged old bronze finish, topped with an ornate lantern head complete with a finial and scrolled acanthus brackets. Behind the amber tinted, slightly textured glass, the light that comes through has real warmth rather than a flat white glow.

Old bronze is applied over the cast metal post and lantern frame, deep and dark with bronze toned highlights picked out along every ring, flute and moulded edge. The blown amber glass panels have their own gentle texture, so the lantern glows rather than glares once the lamps are lit.

How It Works

Three E14 lamp holders sit inside the lantern head behind the tinted glass, giving a flickering, old fashioned look at night that reads more like gaslight than a modern outdoor fitting. Bulbs are not included, so you can choose the exact colour temperature and brightness you want, and fit dimmable bulbs if you'd like to control the level.
