The Parkstone LED Bollard reads more like a piece of quarried masonry than a garden light, a solid rectangular column in dark basalt stone with a narrow stainless steel trim set into one face. At 400mm high it sits low and grounded, built to mark a path or border rather than stand up and announce itself.

Basalt stone and stainless steel

The body is cut from basalt with a matt, faintly textured surface rather than a polished finish, so it reads as real stone up close. A strip of 316 stainless steel sits just below the top edge of the open face, with a glass diffuser behind it protecting the LED, and the same steel forms the fixing footplate at the base.

How it works

A 6W integrated LED sits behind the steel trim and washes light down the recessed inner face of the column, so the glow pools softly at the base rather than glaring outward. At 3000K and 650 lumens it gives a warm, low level wash rather than a bright point of light, which is exactly what a bollard like this is for.

Where it works best

Use it to mark the edge of a path, step or driveway, or space a run of them along a border to guide the eye after dark without overlighting the garden. The footplate fixes flat to paving, decking or a solid base, so it suits a formal path as easily as a gravel one.

This 400mm bollard is the shorter of two Parkstone heights, both sharing the same basalt and stainless steel treatment, so the two can be mixed along a longer run for a bit of rhythm rather than a single repeated line.
