A lantern that lights the ground, not the sky
The Parish Mini down light hangs its lantern head below the wall bracket rather than above it, so the beam falls onto the step or path beneath rather than climbing toward the eaves. The six sided glazed body keeps the traditional street lamp silhouette but at a scale built for a porch or side door rather than a road.
Black Finish
Cast in aluminium and finished in a deep matte black, the Parish Mini has a fine textured coating that resists showing fingerprints or weather marks. Clear glass panels sit inside the hexagonal frame so the bulb stays fully visible rather than diffused, and the bracket, roof and lower finial all share the same black tone.
How It Works
A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the glazed head, wired to Class I and rated IP44, so it copes with an exposed corner as well as a sheltered one. Fit a dimmable bulb and it will work from a full glow down to a soft background level on a dimmer circuit. The fitting is fixed to the wall through its cast octagonal backplate, which takes two fixing screws.
Where It Works Best
Because the light throws downward, Parish Mini suits a front door, a side passage or a spot along a boundary wall, anywhere you want a pool of light landing on the ground rather than lighting up a wall or the sky above. Mounted as a pair either side of a doorway, the matching downward throw keeps the entrance evenly lit without any glare at eye level.

Does the Parish Mini wall lantern come with a bulb? No. It takes a single E27 lamp, which isn't included, so you'll need to fit one before use.
Is this lantern suitable for an exposed outdoor position? Yes. It's IP44 rated, so it copes with an exposed spot such as an open porch or boundary wall as well as a sheltered doorway.
Can I dim the Parish Mini wall lantern? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't respond to a dimmer switch even on a dimmable circuit.
