Elstead Parish Mini Single Down Wall Lantern - Black

A wall lantern that throws its light downward

This down facing version of the Parish Mini sits on a wall bracket with the lantern head hanging below it, so the light spills down the wall rather than up towards the eaves. The six sided glazed body has the look of an old fashioned street lamp, scaled for a front door rather than a road junction.

Finish

Finished in black with a fine textured coating, it has clear glass panels set into the cast aluminium frame, so the lamp inside stays fully visible rather than diffused. The bracket and lantern share the same dark tone throughout, including the decorative finial underneath.

How it works

It takes a single E27 lamp and is wired to Class I, with an IP44 rating that means it is happy in an exposed spot as well as a sheltered one. Fixed to the wall via its cast backplate, it needs nothing more than a standard mounting point to go up.

Where it works best

The downward throw suits a front door, a side passage or a boundary wall, anywhere you want the pool of light landing on the ground below rather than lighting up the sky. It works equally well either side of a doorway in a matching pair.
