A small lantern with proper presence
Hung from its own length of chain, the Parish Mini chain lantern has the profile of a traditional gas lamp shrunk down to porch scale. The hexagonal cast aluminium frame tapers to a neat finial underneath, and the glazed panels let the glow spread out in every direction rather than just down.
Finish
This one comes in black, with a slightly textured powder coated surface that reads as matt rather than gloss. Clear glass panels sit inside the metal framework, so the fitting keeps its shape and detail whether the light is on or off.
How it works
Fitted with a single E27 lamp holder and wired to Class I standards, it hangs on its integral chain rather than a bracket, which makes it a good match for a hook or eye fixed to a beam, porch ceiling or gateway. It is IP44 rated, so it is built to cope with the weather it will actually be hung in.
Where it works best
Its compact size (around 34.5cm to the body, with a drop that runs from 49.5cm up to 96.5cm depending on how the chain is set) makes it well suited to spots where a full sized lantern would overwhelm the space, a covered porch, an entrance canopy, or either side of a garden gate.
