A traditional lantern that hangs and sways gently

The Parish chain lantern has the classic silhouette of an old street lamp: a hexagonal cage of clear glass panels topped with a peaked cap and finished with a pointed drop at the base. Hung from its own chain rather than fixed to a bracket, it can move slightly in the wind instead of sitting rigid.

Cast in black

It's cast in aluminium and finished in black, a colour that reads well against most brick, render or timber and won't show weather marks the way a lighter finish might.

How it works

It takes a single E27 lamp on Class I wiring, so have it installed and connected by a qualified electrician. Pick a dimmable bulb if you'd like to run it on a dimmer.

Where it works best

Hung over a porch, entrance or covered walkway, it gives a traditional lantern glow without needing a wall bracket, since the chain does the fixing for you.
