A porch lantern that hangs and moves with the breeze

The Parish takes the shape of a traditional street lantern, a hexagonal cage of clear glass panels under a peaked cap, tapering to a pointed drop at the base. It's suspended from its own chain rather than fixed to a bracket, so it can sway very slightly rather than sitting rigid against the wall.

Finished in black

Cast in aluminium and finished in a deep matte black, Parish reads well against brick, render or timber and won't show water marks or fingerprints the way a lighter or more reflective finish would outdoors.

How It Works

It takes a single E27 bulb, not included, and we'd recommend an LED lamp for outdoor runtime and lower running costs. The fitting is wired on Class I electrics, so it needs an earthed connection and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Choose a dimmable bulb if you want to run it from a dimmer switch.

Parish is rated IP44, so it's built to cope with rain and damp air in a covered spot such as a porch, entrance or covered walkway. Because it hangs from a chain rather than a wall bracket, it also suits a beam, porch ceiling or pergola where there's nothing to mount a bracket against.
