The Paignton mini bollard trades the classic lantern shape for something plainer and tougher: a squat stainless cylinder topped with a crossed steel arch that cradles a frosted glass diffuser. At just 300mm tall, it sits low enough to mark a spot rather than light a whole path, casting a soft pool of glow rather than a glare.

316 marine grade stainless steel

The body and arch are made from 316 stainless steel, the grade used on boats and coastal architecture because it resists the pitting and staining that salt air causes in lesser metals over time. Inside the arch, a frosted glass diffuser softens the bulb before it reaches the ground, so the fitting reads as a gentle glow rather than a bare bulb.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp sits inside the diffuser, wired on Class I electrics that need an earth connection, so this is a job for a qualified electrician rather than a plug in fitting. Fit a dimmable bulb and the bollard will dim on a compatible circuit; a standard bulb won't.
