The Orb table lamp turns the usual weighted lamp base into something rounder and wider, a fully transparent glass globe balanced on a slim aged brass foot. Whatever normally disappears behind a solid base, a stack of books, a small trinket, the edge of a picture frame, stays visible through the curve instead of hidden by it.

This version pairs the clear glass globe with an aged brass stem, collar and base ring, warm rather than shiny, and tops it with a drum shade in a plain, lightly textured faux linen finished in white. It's the quieter of the two Orb shades, built to blend into a room rather than announce itself, so it sits comfortably next to pale walls, linen bedding or a light painted console.

How It Works

A single E27 fitting sits inside the neck of the glass base, so the bulb glows low inside the globe before the shade takes over and spreads the light out into the room. Fit a dimmable bulb and the circuit will respond to it, taking the lamp from full brightness down to a quiet background glow. The bulb itself isn't included, so you're free to choose the exact brightness and colour temperature you want.

At 67cm tall with a 36cm wide shade, the Orb has enough scale to anchor a console table or sideboard on its own, though it settles just as easily onto a bedside table or the side table beside an armchair.
