The Orb table lamp builds its whole character around a single rounded glass globe, left completely clear so the brass fittings and the bulb's glow both show through rather than hiding behind an opaque base.

A slim aged brass stem rises from the centre of the globe, through a brass collar and finial, to meet a black drum shade woven in a faux linen texture. The brass reads as a soft, worn tone rather than a bright polish, and the black shade gives the piece a firmer, more grounded silhouette than a pale one would.

How It Works

One E27 LED bulb (not included) sits above the glass globe, so light spreads both up through the shade and down through the clear glass beneath it. It's dimmable when paired with a dimmable E27 LED bulb, letting you take it from a low background glow to something bright enough to read by.

Does the Orb table lamp come with a bulb? No. It takes one E27 bulb, which isn't included, so choose a dimmable LED if you want to use it with a dimmer switch.

Is the Orb table lamp dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E27 bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.

Does the glass base light up as well as the shade? Yes. The base is clear glass rather than an opaque material, so the bulb's glow shows through it as well as through the black shade above.

What is the shade made from? The drum shade is a black faux linen weave fabric, which softens the light rather than casting hard edged shadows.
