The Norfolk Single Pedestal Lantern is the ground level member of the Norfolk family, a compact lantern head set low on a flared plinth and octagonal foot rather than raised on a post or fixed to a wall. It's built for marking the edge of a path, a gateway or a low garden wall, standing at just 44cm tall so it reads as a marker rather than a dominant fixture.

Cast in a matte black finish with a domed, finialled top, the lantern head is glazed on all four sides in clear glass carrying a diamond leaded pattern, so the light breaks up into a soft, faceted glow rather than one flat sheet. The octagonal base picks up the same angular lines as the lantern head above it, so the whole fitting reads as one considered shape rather than a lamp bolted onto a plinth.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the lantern head, so you choose the bulb to suit, warm or cool, and can dim it if you fit a dimmable LED on a compatible dimmer switch. It's a Class I fitting, so it must be properly earthed when it's installed, and because it lives outdoors full time we always recommend a registered electrician carries out the wiring.
