Milo pairs a smooth white ceramic base with a wide drum shade patterned in warm gold wave lines on an ivory ground, so the piece reads as sculptural even before the bulb is switched on. Aged brass finished fittings at the collar and foot add a warm accent against the white body.

The base is a glossy white ceramic, bulbous at the foot and tapering into a slim neck, set on an aged brass finished ring foot. The 36cm drum shade is a laminated fabric in an abstract wave design, threads of warm gold and amber running through an off white ground rather than a flat block colour, which is where the finish gets its name.

How It Works

A single E27 LED bulb sits inside the shade, so light escapes as a soft, diffused glow through the fabric rather than a direct beam, better suited to topping up ambient light than to close task work. It is dimmable when used with a dimmable bulb and switch. The fitting is Class I, so it must be earthed. The bulb is not included.
