An industrial edge with a glass twist

Louvre earns its name from the rows of angled glass slats that run down each side of its boxy steel frame, catching the light as it passes through rather than simply covering it up. It is a fitting that looks equally at home holding still or lit, with the kind of hard edged, factory inspired shape that suits pared back interiors.

Painted gunmetal finish

The frame is finished in a brushed gunmetal that reads somewhere between soft silver and dark charcoal depending on the light hitting it, with the clear glass louvres adding sparkle without softening the overall look.

How it works

Two exposed E27 lamp holders sit inside the open fronted box, so the bulbs themselves become part of the display. Filament style bulbs suit the fitting particularly well, though any E27 bulb will fit. It runs on mains voltage and can be dimmed if you fit dimmable bulbs.

Where it works best

A good match for kitchens and dining spaces looking for something a bit more characterful than a standard wall light, particularly where an industrial or warehouse edge is already part of the scheme. Works well flanking a mirror or paired either side of a kitchen island.
