Louvre takes its name from the rows of angled glass slats that run down each side of its boxy steel frame, catching light as it passes through rather than simply hiding the bulbs behind a shade. Left open at the front, this two light version puts a pair of exposed lamp holders on full display, giving it the kind of hard edged, factory inspired shape that suits pared back interiors.

Painted gunmetal finish

The steel frame is finished in a brushed painted gunmetal that reads somewhere between soft silver and dark charcoal depending on how the light catches it. The clear glass louvres running down each side pick up that same shift in tone, adding a flash of sparkle without softening the overall industrial look.

How It Works

Two open E27 lamp holders sit side by side inside the box frame, so the bulbs themselves become part of the display rather than being hidden away. Filament style bulbs suit the fitting particularly well, though any E27 bulb will fit, and neither bulb is included. It runs on mains voltage and, fitted with dimmable bulbs, will work on a dimmer circuit.

Where It Works Best

With two lamp holders it throws a bit more light than the single light version, making it a good match for kitchens and dining spaces after something more characterful than a standard wall light, particularly where an industrial or warehouse edge already runs through the scheme. It also works well flanking a mirror or fitted either side of a kitchen island.

Questions People Ask

Does this wall light take an integrated LED or a regular bulb? It takes two separate E27 bulbs rather than an integrated LED, so you can choose the style and colour temperature you prefer. Filament style bulbs suit the open frame particularly well. Neither bulb is included.

Can this wall light be dimmed? Yes, as long as both E27 bulbs fitted are dimmable. With standard non dimmable bulbs it will only run at full brightness.

Is this a mains wired or plug in fitting? It's wired directly into the mains and carries a Class I electrical rating, so we recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation.

Will this fitting show more light than the single light Louvre wall light? Yes, with two E27 lamp holders instead of one it puts out noticeably more light, making it a better fit for larger walls or spaces wanting a stronger glow.
