Some porch lights need a switch flicked every evening and again at bedtime. The Klampenborg with PIR skips that step entirely. The classic swan neck lantern shape stays exactly the same, but the wall plate now carries a small motion sensor that takes care of turning the light on and off for you.

Black finish

Finished in matte black powder coating over 304 grade stainless steel, it has a slightly industrial, dockside look, with a wide flat cap and a rounded clear glass shade below. The black holds up well outdoors and reads as a proper fitting against most wall colours rather than disappearing or standing out too much.

How It Works

The PIR sensor sits on the round wall plate, just below where the arm meets the wall, and switches the light on automatically when it detects movement nearby, then off again once things go quiet. It takes a single E27 bulb behind clear glass, dimmable if you use dimmable lamps, wired on a standard Class I connection.

This is the practical end of the Klampenborg range, well suited to side entrances, back doors, bin store areas or anywhere you want light to appear the moment someone approaches without leaving a fitting burning all night. The long swan neck arm still throws light forward, so it covers a decent stretch of path or step below.
