The Klampenborg wall lantern borrows its shape from old Scandinavian quayside lighting, a long curved arm sweeping out from a round wall plate before dropping into a wide flat cap that shelters a rounded glass shade below. The bulb sits fully exposed inside that glass, so the fitting throws real light rather than hiding it behind a diffuser.

Matte black finish

This version is finished in a deep matte black that reads as pure shape rather than a block of colour against brick, render or painted timber. By day it recedes into the wall, and after dark it's the swan neck arm and flat cap silhouette that catch the eye.

How It Works

The body is 304 grade stainless steel with a powder coated finish, chosen so the black stays black through wet winters rather than fading or streaking. A single E27 lamp holder sits under the cap behind clear glass, wired on a standard Class I connection. The bulb itself is not supplied, so you can fit the exact warmth and output you want, and the fitting will dim if you choose a dimmable lamp.

The 42cm arm holds the lantern well clear of the wall, throwing light forward rather than straight down, which suits either side of a front door, along a run of garage or outbuilding wall, or a porch with enough depth for the swan neck to hang properly.
