Elstead Klampenborg Single Pedestal with PIR - Silver

There's something almost nautical about the Klampenborg's silhouette, that broad tilted cap sitting over a glass lantern like a little roof against the weather. Named after the Danish harbour town, this pedestal light brings a proper piece of Scandinavian design down to ground level, standing on its own base rather than hanging from a wall or post.

The finish

The body is 304 grade stainless steel, powder coated in a soft silver grey that reads more pewter than chrome. It's a hardwearing combination built to shrug off UK weather, with a clear glass panel that lets the light spread rather than pooling it downward.

How it works

Look closely at the neck below the lantern head and you'll spot the built in PIR sensor, a small motion detector that switches the light on when it picks up movement nearby and off again once the path is clear. It takes a single E27 bulb, dimmable if you fit dimmable lamps, and runs on a standard Class I electrical connection.

Being a pedestal fitting rather than a wall light, this one is built for ground mounting, think driveway edges, path junctions, or either side of a gate where you want a consistent low light line rather than a single high source.
