The finish

How it works

Look closely at the neck below the lantern head and you'll spot the built in PIR sensor, a small motion detector that switches the light on when it picks up movement nearby and off again once the path is clear. It takes a single E27 bulb, dimmable if you fit dimmable lamps, and runs on a standard Class I electrical connection. The whole fitting is fixed down through a round base plate at the foot of the post, so it stands independently rather than needing a wall or gatepost to mount to.
