The Klampenborg bollard is a low, freestanding lantern built for edging drives, borders and paths, drawing on the pared back lines of Scandinavian outdoor lighting. A wide, tilted cap shelters a cylindrical glass chamber, sending light out sideways and down onto the ground rather than up into the sky or through a neighbour's window.

This version is powder coated in a cool silver grey over a 304 grade stainless steel body, a finish chosen to stand up to rain, frost and UV without fading or rusting. The clear glass panels have a light seeded texture, enough to take the edge off the bulb's glow without hiding it.

How It Works

A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the lantern head, tilted so the cap keeps rain and glare off the bulb while light still spreads out from the sides. The head fixes to a stainless steel post, which mounts onto a round base plate for a solid, permanent fixing rather than a spiked ground stake. Wire it in like any other outdoor bollard light; a qualified electrician should handle the connection.

Where It Works Best

At just over a metre tall, Klampenborg sits at ankle to knee height, so it marks a route without competing with planting or towering over a low wall. Use it to line a driveway, edge a path to the front door, or space several along a border so each pool of light overlaps gently with the next.
