A half lantern for the wall

The Holborn half lantern takes the classic glazed lantern shape and flattens the back so it sits neatly against a wall rather than hanging free. It still reads as a full lantern from the front, just without the bulk of a projecting fitting.

Brushed Brass finish

This one is finished in Brushed Brass, a warmer and more matte look than a polished metal, with a fine grain visible across the surface. Slatted bars run along the top, above clear glass panels that show the two candle style bulbs inside.

How it works

Two E14 lamp holders sit inside the lantern, arranged so light spills out through the glass sides and front rather than in a single beam. Fit dimmable bulbs if you would like the option of a quieter glow later in the evening.

Where it works best

Front doors, porches and gateways are the obvious home for a lantern like this, and the flat back makes it easy to fit close to a wall where a projecting fitting might catch on a door or gate. It also holds its own fitted as a pair either side of a doorway.

A long running design
