The Helsingor is modelled on the sort of lantern you would find lighting a Danish quayside, with a tiered pagoda hood stacked above a glass cylinder that lets the bulb show through.

Finish

Here it comes in a soft silver grey, giving the fitting a cooler, more metallic look than its black sibling. It suits pale render, stone and grey brick particularly well.

How it works

Fit one E27 bulb inside the glass housing and the tiered louvres above take care of keeping rain off the lamp while still letting light escape at the sides and below. It will dim if you fit a dimmable bulb.

Where it works best

Good for front doors, side passages, garden walls and other exterior spots, and it is equally at home in coastal settings where salt air is a factor.
