Glenbeigh is the smallest pedestal in its family, a low plinth carrying the familiar globe and cage just high enough to mark a gate pier, pillar cap or low wall without ever looking oversized for the job. At under 40cm tall it sits comfortably where a taller post lantern would dominate.

Black polymer and polycarbonate

The cage and pedestal are moulded in black polymer, with a polycarbonate globe standing in for glass. Neither material rusts or cracks the way metal and glass can outdoors, which matters on a fitting that stays exposed to weather all year round.

How it works

A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the globe. We recommend an LED bulb, though none is supplied. Fit a dimmable lamp and the light responds to a dimmer switch. Glenbeigh is wired to Class II double insulated standards, so it does not need to be earthed, and it carries an IP44 rating for use fully exposed to the elements.

Where it works best

Its low, compact shape suits gate piers, the tops of low boundary walls, or either side of a porch step, anywhere that calls for a defined point of light rather than height. The IP44 rating means it can be mounted somewhere fully open to rain and wind without extra shelter.
