The short, squat one in the family
At under 40cm tall, the Glenbeigh pedestal lantern is the compact option in the range, a low plinth topped with the familiar white globe held in its black cage. It sits happily on a gatepost, pillar cap or low wall without ever looking too big for the job.
Built to stay outside all year
Black polymer and a polycarbonate globe take the place of metal and glass here, so there is nothing for the weather to rust or crack. It is wired to Class II double insulated standards, which suits a fitting that spends its life exposed to the elements.
How it works
It takes a single E27 bulb and can be dimmed if you fit a dimmable lamp, giving you some say over how bright the glow is once it is switched on.
Where it works best
Gate piers, the tops of low boundary walls, or either side of a porch step all suit this size, anywhere you want a defined point of light rather than height.
