One curve, one bird

Look at the Flamingo table lamp from across the room and the shape does the work before the light even comes on: a long neck arching down to a hooked beak, then a looped leg rising from a round base. In white, the whole outline turns almost invisible against a pale wall by day, then steps forward as a glowing line once evening comes.

How it works

Rather than hiding a bulb behind a shade, the lamp has a 6W LED built along the entire frame, giving a steady 420 lumens of warm light that traces the full length of the curve. It runs on a straightforward in-line switch and is not designed to be dimmed.

Where it works best

Because the design is all about its outline, it earns its keep on an open surface such as a bedside table, a sideboard or a desk corner where nothing crowds its curves. The white finish keeps it light and unobtrusive by day, which makes it an easy fit for a bedroom, home office or living room that already has a lot going on visually.

The same design is also made in black and in pink, so if white feels too understated for the spot you have in mind, the shape carries over into bolder colours as well.
