Cooler and more graphic, this semi flush light suits a scheme built around monochrome or contemporary furnishings rather than anything overtly period.

Chrome frame, black shade

The mirror polished frame sits above a black fabric drum shade, and it is the white underside of that shade, not the black outer, that throws light back down into the room. A narrow gap where the shade meets the frame keeps a line of bright chrome always on show, tying the cooler finish back into the piece even once the light is on.

How it works

Three G9 LED lamp holders sit inside the shade facing upward into a white acrylic diffuser, spreading the light across the ceiling before it reaches the room. The result is a soft, even general glow with no visible glare from the lamps themselves, and because the fitting sits close to the ceiling rather than dropping on a rod or chain, it suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low.
