Sharper lines for the ceiling

Take the same looped, heart curved frame as the rest of the Falmouth range and swap the finish to Polished Chrome, and the whole fitting reads differently. It is a more graphic, cooler piece, better suited to a scheme built around monochrome or contemporary fittings than to anything overtly period.

Chrome frame, black shade

The mirror polished frame sits above a black fabric drum shade, and the white underside of that shade is what actually throws the light back down into the room, rather than absorbing it the way an all black shade would. Where the shade meets the frame there is a narrow gap, so a line of bright chrome is always on show.

How it works

Inside the shade, three G9 lamps face upward into a white acrylic diffuser, so the light spreads out across the ceiling before it reaches the room, giving a soft general glow with no visible glare from the lamps themselves.

Where it works best

Its shallow depth means it sits close to the ceiling, so it earns its place in bathrooms and other rooms where a pendant would hang too low, and its IP44 rating covers the bathroom zones that require it. Outside the bathroom, the black and chrome combination works just as well in a hallway or landing with a more modern feel.

One of two finishes

If chrome and black feels a touch cool for the room in mind, the same Falmouth frame is also made in French Gold with a white shade, keeping the shape but shifting the whole mood warmer.
