A cone of brass, tipped with a star
The Etoile pendant pairs a tapered brass cone shade with a small star charm caught partway down its rod, a detail that reads almost like jewellery on the fitting. This is the smaller of the two Etoile sizes, built for a single drop rather than a cluster, with a scale that suits a compact spot rather than a wide table.
Aged brass and gold leaf
The ceiling rose, rod and shade are all finished in aged brass, a warm tone with a soft, slightly worn look rather than a hard mirror shine. The inside of the shade is painted gold, so the fitting throws a golden pool of light once switched on, and the star charm carries its own gold leaf finish that catches against the brass around it.
How It Works
A single E27 LED bulb, not supplied, sits inside the cone shade, angled to send light downward rather than out into the room. The cord can be set at installation, giving a drop anywhere from 57.2cm up to 151.1cm on its 91.4cm cord, so it can hang close to the ceiling or lower to suit a taller room.
Where It Works Best
At just 13.3cm across the shade, it's narrow enough to hang as a single accent beside a doorway, above a small side table, or wherever a light needs to focus on one spot rather than spread across a room. Grouped in twos or threes at slightly staggered heights, it also works well strung along a kitchen island or a narrow breakfast bar.
The Etoile range
Elstead Lighting is a British lighting group and distributor whose roots trace back to the Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, still led by the Lucas family today. This small pendant is the more compact of two Etoile sizes, and the same cone and star design is also available in a matte black and gold leaf finish, so the shape can be repeated across a run of pendants in more than one tone.

How low can the Etoile small pendant hang? The cord can be set at installation anywhere from a minimum drop of 57.2cm up to a maximum of 151.1cm, so it suits both standard and taller ceilings.
Does it come with a bulb? No. It takes one E27 LED bulb, which isn't supplied, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suits the room.
Is the Etoile small pendant dimmable? Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable E27 bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't respond to a dimmer switch.
