The Emily 5 Light Chandelier is the largest fitting in the Emily range, five arms sweeping out from a twisted ribbon column to hold five flared opal glass shades. Hung from its chain, it reads as a proper centrepiece rather than a small accent, with enough spread and light output to anchor a dining table or a generous bedroom ceiling.

Copper patina finish

The steel frame is finished in copper patina, a deliberately worn, uneven coating that lets the twisted ribbon detail on the column stand out as real texture rather than a flat printed pattern. Underneath, the five glass shades are opal white and flare outward at the base, spreading the light sideways as well as down rather than throwing it in a single column.

How It Works

Five E14 lamp holders sit at the end of each arm, giving this the highest output in the Emily range and noticeably more spread than the two or three light versions. Bulbs aren't included, so fit five E14 LED lamps to get it working, and choose dimmable bulbs if you want it to work on a dimmer switch. The chain lets you set the drop on installation, from around 53cm up to 84cm, so it can sit higher over a table or lower in a room with a taller ceiling.

Where It Works Best

At 64cm across, Emily needs a bit of room to breathe, over a dining table or in the centre of a bedroom ceiling rather than a narrow hallway or a small landing. Because the drop is adjustable across a fairly wide range, it can work under both a standard ceiling height and a taller one without looking stranded.

Elstead Lighting

Emily is part of the Elstead Lighting collection, a British lighting group whose name traces back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, and which remains led by the same Lucas family today.
