Elstead Douille Single Table Lamp - Black & Polished Brass

Same silhouette, sharper contrast

This version keeps the curved arm and weighted base of the original Douille table lamp, but swaps the finish around: the stem, arm and base go matte black, while the lamp holder, finial and the little collar where the base meets the stem stay in polished brass. It gives the same shape a bit more edge, less uniformly vintage and a touch more graphic.

The shade is the same ribbed glass, angled down over the bulb rather than enclosing it, so the filament stays visible as part of the look rather than hidden away inside solid glass.

How it works

It runs on a single E27 bulb, wired as a Class I fitting, and dims if you use a dimmable lamp. The base is a solid weighted disc, so it stands on its own on a desk or table without any clamping or fixing needed.

Where it works best

Good for a home office or study where black and brass hardware is already doing the rounds, or a bedside table where you want a reading light with a bit more presence than a plain fabric shade lamp.
