A wall light with nothing extra on it
Dali is about as pared back as exterior lighting gets: a plain cylinder set against a fluted backplate, with no scrollwork, no lantern glass panels, none of the usual period detailing. It suits a house that wants its outdoor lighting to look deliberate rather than decorative.
Dark grey finish
Shade and backplate share the same dark grey, so from a distance the fixture reads as a single flat shape against the wall rather than two separate parts. The finish has a slight texture to it rather than a gloss, which stops it looking too stark against brick or render.
How it works
Two GU10 lamps sit inside the shade, one angled up and one down, so light washes the wall above and below the fixture rather than firing outward into the garden. That makes it as much about marking a doorway or path as lighting an area, and it will dim if you use dimmable GU10 bulbs.
Where it works best
At a compact 26cm tall, a pair either side of a front door or garage frames the entrance neatly, and its narrow profile also works spaced along a boundary wall or fence line where you want light without a fussy fitting drawing attention to itself.

Is the Dali wall lantern suitable for a coastal or exposed location? Yes. It's made from 304 grade stainless steel as part of Elstead's Coastal Collection, which is built to resist corrosion in salty or exposed conditions better than the mild steel used on most indoor fittings.
Does the Dali wall lantern come with bulbs? No. It takes two GU10 bulbs, 8W maximum each, which aren't included so you can choose the colour temperature and beam you want.
Is the Dali wall lantern dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable GU10 bulbs and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.
What is the IP rating of the Dali wall lantern? It's rated IP44, giving it protection against water splashed from any direction, which is the standard rating expected of an outdoor wall light.
