A wheel chandelier built like an iron ring
The Cromwell wears its blacksmith heritage openly: a wide iron hoop banded and riveted together, with eight candle style arms set at even intervals around the ring, each one topped with a drip pan and an exposed bulb.
Old Bronze finish
This piece is finished in Old Bronze, a deep, uneven brown that pools darker in the recesses of the hammered ironwork and catches lighter along the raised edges of the rivets and straps. The candle sleeves and drip pans share the same aged tone, so the whole fitting reads as one weathered piece of metal rather than a mix of parts.
How It Works
Eight E14 lamp holders carry light around the full circumference of the ring, which hangs from a central ceiling point on four lengths of chain. The chain can be shortened or lengthened to bring the ring anywhere between 58cm and 260cm below the ceiling, so it can sit low over a table or rise higher in a taller room. This fitting wires directly into the ceiling, so we always recommend a qualified electrician installs it.
Where It Works Best
At a metre across, this is a fitting for a room with real ceiling height and floor space to match: a farmhouse kitchen island, a dining hall, or a double height entrance where the chain drop can be used generously. The exposed bulbs and hammered ironwork suit a rustic, country or medieval styled interior rather than a minimal or contemporary one.
Elstead
Cromwell comes from Elstead, a British lighting group whose history traces back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, still led today by the same Lucas family. The wheel chandelier form nods to that blacksmith background, translating the shape of an old iron cartwheel into a piece for a modern home.

How low can the Cromwell chandelier be hung? The chain adjusts the ring anywhere from 58cm to 260cm below the ceiling, so it works over a low table or higher up in a room with real height.
Are bulbs included with the Cromwell chandelier? No. It takes eight E14 bulbs, which aren't supplied, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room.
Is the Cromwell chandelier dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and use a compatible dimmer switch. Non dimmable bulbs won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.
Do I need an electrician to install this chandelier? Yes. It wires directly into the ceiling rather than plugging in, so we always recommend a qualified electrician fits it, and its 15kg weight means the ceiling point needs to be secure.
