A mid height pillar for the garden

Taller than a pedestal light but shorter than a full lamp post, this pillar lantern is built for spots where you want light at roughly waist to shoulder height, standing on its own rather than fixed to a wall. The lantern head sits on a slim tapering column with vertical fluting, finished on a hexagonal base plate.

Textured black, clear seeded glass

Cast aluminium in a matt textured black, with the lantern glazed in clear seeded glass so the bulb shows through a softened, slightly rippled pane rather than plain flat glass. The fluted column and acorn finial carry through the same details you see across the rest of the Chicago range.

How It Works

A single E27 LED lamp holder sits centrally in the lantern head, with the bulb itself not included. The fitting is Class I, so it needs an earthed supply, and will dim if you fit a dimmable bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch.

Good for framing a set of steps, standing at the corner of a patio, or lighting a stretch of path where a full size lamp post would dominate the space. Its column height keeps the light source clear of shrubs and low planting, while the IP44 rating means it copes well with rain and general weather exposure.
