A low marker for a path, gate or wall top

This is the smallest pedestal in the Chicago range, a compact lantern raised on a fluted plinth rather than a full height post. It is built for marking a boundary rather than lighting a driveway, standing either side of a gate, along a low garden wall, or spaced along a path edge where a taller lamp post would dominate.

Textured black finish, clear seeded glass

The lantern head, cap and plinth are all cast in aluminium and finished in a matt textured black that hides weathering better than a smooth gloss coat. The four glass panels are clear seeded glass, carrying the small trapped bubbles of hand rolled glass, so the light through them has a slightly broken, old fashioned quality rather than a flat modern glow.

How It Works

A single E27 LED lamp, not included, sits inside the lantern head and is visible through glass on all four sides. The fitting is wired to Class I, so it needs an earthed supply, and will dim if fitted with a compatible dimmable LED lamp.

Where It Works Best

Its low profile suits gate piers, the top of a low garden wall, or the edge of a path or driveway, anywhere a full height lamp post would be too tall or too much light. Used in pairs either side of an entrance, or spaced along a boundary wall, it marks the route without competing with planting or architecture around it.
