Elstead Chicago Single Single Head Lamp Post - Textured Black

A full height lamp post for the driveway

This is the Chicago range at its tallest, a single lantern head set on a slim fluted column that stands well over two metres. It has the silhouette of an old fashioned street light, right down to the acorn finial on top, and gives a garden or driveway a proper focal point rather than just a light source.

The column tapers gently from a wide octagonal foot plate up to the lantern housing, with vertical fluting running its length. Everything, from the post to the lantern crown and the seeded glass panes, is finished in the same matt textured black, so the fitting holds together as one continuous piece rather than a lamp bolted onto a pole.

How It Works

A single E27 LED lamp holder sits inside the lantern head, visible through the clear seeded glass on all sides. The fitting is wired to Class I, meaning it needs an earthed supply, and it will dim if paired with a dimmable LED lamp.

Where It Works Best

Set either side of a gateway or driveway entrance, or as a marker partway along a path, its height puts the light well above head level so it lights the ground without dazzling anyone walking past. It suits a period property or a country garden where a low bollard light would look out of scale.

Does this lamp post come with a bulb? No. It takes a single E27 LED lamp, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suits your driveway or garden.
