A slim spotlight built for one picture

The Chawton small picture light is sized for a single frame or a tight cluster of small ones, throwing a warm, even wash of light down over the artwork rather than the wall around it. It's the compact end of Elstead's Chawton range, scaled for a narrower run of wall or a more modest frame than a full length picture light would suit.

Dark bronze finish

This version is made in mild steel and finished in a deep, aged bronze, with visible brushing across the metal that gives it a slightly antiqued look rather than a flat, uniform coating. It reads as an older, more traditional metal, and sits well against dark wood, leather or aged brass elsewhere in the room.

How It Works

A pair of knuckle joints on the mounting arm let you tilt the shade up or down once it's fixed to the wall, so the beam can be aimed squarely at the picture rather than glaring back into the room. Each joint locks with its own hand tightened screw, so once you've found the angle it stays put. It's wired for a single E14 LED bulb, angled to graze the surface of the artwork.

Does the Chawton small picture light come with a bulb? No. It takes one E14 LED bulb and bulbs aren't supplied, so pick a dimmable E14 bulb if you want to use it on a dimmer circuit.

Can I angle the light after it's fitted to the wall? Yes. The mounting arm has two knuckle joints, each locked with its own hand tightened screw, so you can tilt the shade up or down to aim the beam at your picture and then lock it in place.

Is the Chawton small picture light dimmable? Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable E14 bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.
