Depth and shadow for a period frame
Dark bronze gives the Chawton picture light a warm, shadowy depth rather than a flat brown, with streaks of lighter bronze showing through the brushed surface. It suits older or more ornate frames particularly well.
A brushed bronze finish
Look closely and the bar shows real variation in tone, brushed rather than uniformly coated, so the light reads as an aged metal piece rather than a moulded fitting.
How It Works
Each arm pivots at its own knuckle joint, letting you angle the bar down onto the canvas or back towards the wall once it is fixed in place. Four E14 lamp holders run along the underside of the bar, so light spreads evenly along a large picture or a row of smaller frames rather than pooling in the middle.
Where It Works Best
At home above a large oil painting, an ornate mirror or a cluster of framed prints in a hallway, living room, dining room or study.

Questions People Ask
Can I angle the Chawton picture light once it's fitted? Yes. Each arm pivots at its own knuckle joint, so you can tilt the bar down onto the canvas or back towards the wall after fixing.
Does the Chawton picture light come with bulbs? No. It takes four E14 bulbs, sold separately, and an LED bulb keeps heat away from the frame it lights.
Is the Chawton picture light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs and use it with a compatible dimmer switch.
How far does the light project from the wall? The bar sits around 11.9cm out from the wall once the arms are set, enough clearance to angle it without touching the frame.
