A five arm centrepiece with real presence
The Chartwell 5 Light Chandelier takes the classic scrolled arm silhouette and gives it enough scale to properly anchor a room. Five curling steel arms reach out from a central column, each carrying its own candle style bulb holder, so the fitting reads as a genuine centrepiece rather than a single point of light in the middle of the ceiling.
Black finish
The steel frame is finished in a deep matte black, with a wire wrapped joint at the top of each arm, a nod to traditional wrought iron style scrollwork rather than a smooth cast piece. Ivory candle sleeves sit above black drip pans on every arm, giving the black frame a warm point of contrast rather than reading as one flat block of colour.
How It Works
Five E14 bulb holders sit upright around the frame, taking clear candle shaped bulbs rather than shaded ones (not supplied). Fit dimmable bulbs and the chandelier will work with a dimmer switch, so the light can be pulled back for evenings or turned up for everyday use. The fitting hangs from a chain with an adjustable drop, and the same fixing also allows it to be hung close to the ceiling as a semi flush light in rooms with less headroom, so it suits both a tall dining room and a lower ceilinged bedroom.
Where It Works Best
With a 47cm spread across the arms, Chartwell suits a dining table, a living room with a decent ceiling height, or a bedroom or hallway where a single pendant would look lost. Because the drop adjusts between 48cm and 110.5cm, it can be set to clear a low beam or dropped further in a room with real height.
Elstead Lighting
Chartwell is part of the Elstead Lighting collection, a British lighting group whose history traces back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, and which remains led by the Lucas family today. The same scrolled arm design also appears as a smaller 3 light chandelier and as matching wall lights within the Chartwell range, making it straightforward to light a room from more than one fitting without mismatched styles.

What bulbs does the Chartwell chandelier take? It takes five E14 candle shaped bulbs. We recommend an LED version, and bulbs are not included.
