A gothic silhouette, cast in black
Wire drapes swoop and cross beneath eight candle style lights, giving this chandelier the look of a hand bound wrought iron piece straight out of a country hall. The black finish keeps every curve sharp against a ceiling, so the looping frame reads as the real decoration here rather than the bulbs themselves.
How it works
Eight arms carry slender candle sleeves around a central column, with the wire swags looped in overlapping arcs beneath. It hangs on chain, so the drop can be adjusted to suit a high or standard ceiling, and the whole fitting is wired to Class I standard for a hardwired mains connection.
Where it works best
Its scale and drama suit a dining table or a living room with some height to play with, though it works equally well lighting a wide hallway or staircase where the wirework can be seen from below as well as straight on.
This Gothic influenced silhouette runs through several Elstead pieces beyond the chandelier itself, including matching wall lights, for anyone building out a room with a single consistent look.
