A candle style wall light with the drape of old ironwork

Two slender arms curve down and out from a central rosette, crossing beneath it in a soft scalloped drape before rising again to hold a pair of candle style bulb holders. Cast in matte black steel, Carisbrooke borrows the silhouette of a much older wrought iron piece, scaled down for a modern wall.

Finish

Every arm and the rosette backplate share the same black mild steel finish, left matte rather than polished, so the fitting reads as ironwork rather than painted metal. Pale candle tube covers sit beneath each bulb holder, a small contrast that stops the black from looking too heavy against a pale wall.

How It Works

Each arm holds a single E14 bulb holder designed for LED candle bulbs, the pair angled outward so light spreads sideways along the wall rather than straight down onto the floor. Bulbs are not included, and the fitting responds to a dimmer switch when fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs. As a mains wired fitting, we recommend it's installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

At 27cm high and 34cm wide, Carisbrooke sits well either side of a fireplace or mirror, or spaced along a hallway or staircase wall where a run of matching points of light works better than one central pendant. It suits living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and kitchens equally, anywhere you want wall level light rather than an overhead source.

How many bulbs does the Carisbrooke 2 Light Wall Light take? Two, one in each arm. It takes E14 bulbs, which aren't included, so you can choose the colour temperature and dimmability you want.

Is the Carisbrooke wall light dimmable? Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 bulbs. A non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.
