A lantern built for a pier or low wall

The Canterbury pedestal stands on its own square post rather than hanging or mounting flat, topped with a small pointed finial that finishes off the peaked roof. It's designed to sit on a gate pier, a low garden wall or a plinth either side of a driveway, marking an entrance rather than lighting a doorway.

The whole fitting, post included, is finished in black, and the glass panels are held by narrow glazing bars in the same window pane style as the rest of the range. A square plate at the base is there for fixing it securely to masonry.

How it works

One E27 LED lamp goes inside, and it's dimmable with a dimmable bulb fitted, so check compatibility with your dimmer switch beforehand.

Where it works best

With an IP43 rating for outdoor use, it holds up well on gateposts, pier caps and boundary walls, giving a consistent point of light along a driveway or at the start of a path.

Matches the rest of the Canterbury line

The same black finish and glazing bar detailing runs through the whole Canterbury range, so this pedestal version can be paired with the wall or chain hung lanterns for a consistent look front and back of a house.
