Elstead Canterbury Single Grande Wall Down Lantern - Black

A lantern that hangs from a scrolled bracket

Instead of sitting flush to the wall, the Canterbury wall down version projects out on a black wrought iron bracket, its curling scrollwork giving it a slightly old fashioned, coach house character. The lantern itself hangs below the arm, angled so the light falls down and out rather than straight ahead.

Black finish, glazing bar detail

Both the bracket and the tapered lantern box are finished in black, and the glass is divided into small panes by thin glazing bars, with a lightly textured finish that keeps the bulb from being a harsh point of glare.

How it works

A single E27 LED lamp fits inside, dimmable if you use a dimmable bulb, though it's always worth checking your dimmer switch will work with the one you choose.

Where it works best

Rated IP43 for outdoor use, it suits porches, front doors and entranceways where a projecting fitting reads well against a wall, particularly where you want light thrown a little further out than a flush fitting would manage.
