A traditional lantern that hangs on its own chain
The Canterbury has the look of an old carriage lamp, a tapered box of glass under a peaked black roof, with proper glazing bars dividing each pane the way an old sash window would. Rather than a fixed arm, this version drops from a length of chain, so the lantern hangs and settles rather than sitting rigid against a bracket.

The frame is die cast aluminium finished in black, and the panels are a lightly textured glass that softens the bulb inside into more of a glow than a glare, while still giving a good spread of light down onto whatever sits below it.
How It Works
It takes one E27 lamp, and we'd recommend an E27 LED. Dimming is possible with the right dimmable bulb fitted, so check your dimmer switch is compatible before choosing one.

Being rated IP43, it's built to withstand the outdoors, and its chain drop, adjustable between 41.4cm and 89.5cm, makes it especially suited to a porch or entrance canopy where you want the lantern to hang at a specific height above a step or doorway.
