The Brompton is a flush fitting that sits flat and close to the ceiling, its shallow opal glass bowl held by a ribbed brass surround. There's no chain or drop to think about, just a neat curve of glass that reads as a finished light fitting rather than a bare fixture, which suits a bathroom where headroom is often tight.

The banded surround is steel finished in a bright, mirror polished brass, its ribs catching the light in horizontal lines rather than sitting as a plain flat ring. Underneath, a wide opal glass diffuser stays evenly white whether the light is on or off, spreading a soft, even glow across the room rather than a single hot spot.

How It Works

The Brompton takes a single 10W LED GX53 lamp, which isn't included, so you can choose the colour temperature that suits the room. Fit a dimmable GX53 bulb and it will work on a dimmer circuit, though it's worth checking your dimmer switch is compatible with LED loads before you buy one.

Where It Works Best

Rated IP44, the Brompton copes with steam and occasional splashes, so it's a safe choice close to a bath or shower as well as anywhere else in the room.
