Built for a narrower wall or a smaller porch rather than a grand entrance, this small wall lantern carries the same Georgian silhouette as the larger Bayview fittings in a more compact footprint. It's the one to reach for when the medium version would simply look too big for the space.

Black cast aluminium, clear bevelled glass

The lantern head is cast in aluminium and finished in a textured black, glazed on all four sides with clear bevelled glass that catches the light from every angle. A small domed cap tops the frame above the glazed panels.

How it works

One E27 lamp holder sits centrally in the lantern, angled so light reaches out sideways through the bevelled glass panels rather than firing straight down onto the doorstep. No bulb is included, and an LED lamp is worth choosing to keep running costs down. Fit a dimmable LED and the light will respond to a compatible dimmer switch. The lantern hangs from a curled, scrolled bracket that fixes to the wall through a shaped backplate secured with a single screw.

Where it works best

This smaller Bayview suits a narrow side passage, a modest porch, or a front door where the medium and large lanterns in the range would look oversized. It's rated IP44, so it's built to handle rain and splashing on an exposed exterior wall as well as a covered doorway.

Elstead Lighting

This lantern carries the Elstead name, a British lighting brand and distributor whose roots trace back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, a business still guided by the Lucas family. The scrolled bracket and panelled lantern shape echo traditional wrought iron styling, even though this fitting is cast in aluminium rather than forged in iron.

Does it come with a bulb? No. It takes one E27 lamp, which isn't included, so you can choose the LED that suits the space.
