A lantern that hangs rather than sits

Suspended from a black chain rather than fixed to a bracket, the Bayview Chain Lantern has the look of a small coach lamp swinging outside an old inn. The chain itself is adjustable, so the drop can be set to suit the space it hangs in rather than being fixed at one height.

Black, clear glass

Cast in aluminium and finished in black, the lantern head keeps the same crisp, square lined profile as the rest of the Bayview family, with clear bevelled glass on all four sides so the lamp inside stays fully visible.

How It Works

One lamp sits inside the lantern head, in plain view through the glass, so the fitting lights the space beneath it while also reading as a lit feature in its own right after dark. It wires directly into a ceiling rose rather than plugging in, so we'd always recommend a qualified electrician handles the installation and sets the chain to the drop you want.

Where It Works Best

Well suited to a covered porch, a gazebo, or any spot with something solid overhead to hang it from and enough clearance for the chain to swing free. Because the drop is adjustable, it can be hung low over a porch step or raised higher across a wider gazebo or entrance.
